Rewrite old wrongs

Coverups! You’ve received a tattoo you’re unhappy with, and want to get rid of it! Preferably with something that you like and enjoy wearing! Shitty tattoos can leave you self conscious, and affect what you wear, for example perhaps you don't like wearing shorts or short sleeve shirts because of the tattoo you’re unhappy with! Luckily, you have options! Cover Ups are made possible, by masking the old tattoo with a new design over the top! Obviously this is one of the more difficult things to do in tattooing, as you must be slightly malleable to allow the creative process to come up with the best outcome to cover the old tattoo. As a rule of thumb, depending on what is under the new tattoo, the coverup should be almost twice as large as the tattoo underneath. I generally approach a cover up by bringing focus to a lighter area of the skin, and using darker tones to cover and mask what was there before. Perhaps you like the idea, but the execution of the tattoo isn’t done as well. It might be possible to “remodel” your old tattoo, and freshen it up. Allow yourself to be surprised with what’s possible, and ask what would be possible to improve the tattoo you’re unhappy with.
